The Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) scoop for Friday, August 21 hints Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) will mark a grim anniversary.
Also coming up on Friday, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) will sit by John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) bedside, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will console and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) will get some advice.
Spoilers tease Steve will sit vigil in John’s hospital room, stubbornly willing his friend to wake up. He’s grateful John has supported him over the years and especially recently. John counselled him on his feelings for Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) and even forgave him for some of his most recent actions.

Over with Hope, who will ask Kayla and Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) for advice. She’s gotten much closer to her ex Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), but is confused by her feelings for him.
After all, their marriage had its share of challenges. Rafe had cheated on her with his ex Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), but she didn’t find out about it until after the nuptials. The couple had other problems too, like her flirtatious relationship with Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini) and Rafe playing baby daddy to Jordan Ridgeway’s (Chrishell Stause) son David.
Hope is wondering if she should take a leap of faith here and wants to know what her friends think. Will Kayla and Jenn suggest that she reunite with Rafe, or will they tell her to take it slow?
Days Of Our Lives Scoop – Ben Weston Does His Best To Comfort Marlena Evans
Meanwhile, Ben will do his best to try to comfort Marlena Evans (Deirdre Hall), who is frantic with worry about her husband. John collapsed during a fierce confrontation with Sami and has been unconscious ever since. Marlena also received grim news about his condition.
Speaking of grim, Eve will commemorate the fifth anniversary of her daughter Paige Larson’s (True O’Brien) death. She was murdered by The Necktie Killer, aka Ben, in 2015. Eve will promise Paige that vengeance is coming soon for her killer.
